Preparation
No fasting. Avoid creams on the area the day of the exam.
How it’s performed
Targeted scan with a high-frequency probe and Doppler if vascularity is needed.
Results & follow-up
Digital report and images the same day; printed copy available.
Common indications
- Palpable nodules or localized pain
- Mammogram findings needing correlation
- Follow-up in younger patients or dense breasts
- Monitoring of known cysts or lesions
